Volleyball Recap: Remington Comes Up Short

Remington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Christian Academy Lions. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Remington sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-18.

Remington's loss dropped their record down to 7-16-1. As for Central Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Remington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Flinthills on the 27th. As for Central Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ell-Saline on the 27th.
