Basketball Game Preview: Forestview Jaguars vs. North Gaston Wildcats + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Forestview will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the North Gaston Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forestview has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight losses, while North Gaston will come in with six straight victories.

On Wednesday, Forestview came up short against Cuthbertson and fell 71-59.

While North Gaston didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 win over West Lincoln on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since December 28, 2024.

North Gaston's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Forestview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Forestview took their victory against North Gaston in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 80-59 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wildcats' Markell Carothers, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 25 points and six boards.
