Softball Recap: Sweet Home Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamburg, Sweet Home was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Williamsville East Flames, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since May 1, 2024.

Sweet Home's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Williamsville East, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Home will head out to face off against Clarence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsville East, they will venture away from home to take on Hamburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Flames' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
