Volleyball Recap: Hernando Comes Up Short

Hernando was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Springstead Eagles. The Leopards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hernando was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-15.

Hernando's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Springstead, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Hernando and Citrus will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springstead, they will venture away from home to take on Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
