Preview: St. Paul Catholic Falcons vs. Seymour Wildcats
St. Paul Catholic and Seymour are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The St. Paul Catholic Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seymour Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul Catholic will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, St. Paul Catholic gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Derby on the road to the tune of 55-20. Given St. Paul Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Derby is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Seymour beat Torrington 40-36 on Friday.
St. Paul Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
St. Paul Catholic strolled past Seymour when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a score of 49-35. Does St. Paul Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seymour turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
