Cadyn Kummer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other pitching news, Michael Rodriguez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Rowan Smyth, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to Thornwood.
Thornton Fractional North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Royal McClinton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Evergreen Park's record now sits at 14-4. As for Thornton Fractional North, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
