Basketball Game Preview: ALA - Ironwood Warriors vs. Thatcher Eagles

Two dominant guards in Noah Adkins and Isaac Palmer are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The ALA - Ironwood Warriors will welcome the Thatcher Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

ALA - Ironwood is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since January 5, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Yuma Catholic 75-46.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thatcher, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They escaped with a win on Friday against Highland Prep by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65.

Thatcher is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points over those games. As for ALA - Ironwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.

ALA - Ironwood beat Thatcher 72-60 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Thatcher's Christian Carter, who went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and five rebounds.
