Baseball Recap: Amanda Elzy Comes Up Short

Amanda Elzy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Yazoo County, falling 20-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Yazoo County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-3 on Friday.

Amanda Elzy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Yazoo County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Amanda Elzy will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Edwards at 4:00 p.m. As for Yazoo County, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
