Soccer Game Preview: Malvern Prep vs. Episcopal Academy

The Malvern Prep Friars will head out on the road to face off against the Episcopal Academy Churchmen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Malvern Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Malvern Prep fell victim to Haverford School and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Fords, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Malvern Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Haverford School are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Episcopal Academy was forced to settle for a draw. They and Germantown Academy finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday.

Malvern Prep now has a losing record of 7-8-2. With that draw, Episcopal Academy's record moves to 10-4-1.
