Basketball Game Preview: Dolores Bears vs. Ridgway Demons

The Dolores Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Ridgway Demons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Dolores came up short against Monticello and fell 62-53. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Buckaroo recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgway). They came out on top against Nucla by a score of 65-58 on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Demons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Mustangs are ranked 89th).

Dolores' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ridgway, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Dolores couldn't quite finish off Ridgway in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 46-44. Can Dolores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
