Williston's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bradford Tornadoes as the Williston Red Devils made off with a 17-8 win. Considering the Red Devils have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Blake Martin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Breeden Clemenzi was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
Williston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. Bradford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Williston will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Bradford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 victory against Interlachen on the 14th.
