Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Kenny vs. Providence School

The Bishop Kenny Crusaders will face off against the Providence School Stallions at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kenny's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Bishop Kenny turned things around against Episcopal School of Jacksonville on Monday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Crusaders have been dealt a draw since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Providence School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christ's Church Academy.

Bishop Kenny's draw makes their record 7-5-2 this season. As for Providence School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Bishop Kenny took their victory against Providence School when the teams last played back in February of 2017 by a conclusive 8-0. Does Bishop Kenny have another victory up their sleeve, or will Providence School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
