Basketball Recap: Comstock Takes a Loss

Comstock was the 53-36 winner over Rocksprings when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Comstock Panthers fell to the Rocksprings Angoras 63-59.

Despite the loss, Comstock still got an impressive performance from Creed Hardin, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hardin a new career-high in points. Jerry Ibarra was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Rocksprings had a senior duo take command as Hunter Taylor dropped a double-double with 23 points and 14 boards and Roy Estrada went 8 for 11 en route to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Estrada. Another player making a difference was Dwayne Rivera, who posted eight points and five boards.

Comstock's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Rocksprings, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Comstock nor Rocksprings have any future games scheduled.
