Recap: Meridian Bobcats vs. Webber Trojans
The Meridian Bobcats won the last time they faced the Webber Trojans, and things went their way on Saturday too. Meridian took down Webber 50-31.
Despite the loss, Webber saw an underclassman step up: Chloe King scored 14 points. That was a full 45.2% of Webber's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadi Bain, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meridian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Webber, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Christopher at 6:15 p.m. on January 16th. Webber will take on Herrin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
