2015-16 Michigan Preseason Girls Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard

1. Marian (Bloomfield Hills)
Head coach: Mary Cicerone
2014-15 record: 26-1

The Mustangs won their second-consecutive Class A title last season, going the entire season without losing to a Michigan opponent. They finished the season as the No. 16 team in the Xcellent 25 National Girls Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. This season, Cicerone loses a strong group of seniors, but the young players will be ready to step up in a big way.

2. Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills)
Head coach: Frank Orlando
2014-15 record: 22-4

The Yellowjackets beat Haslett to win the Class B title last season — the program's 11th overall. It'll be no surprise if Orlando guides his team back to the promised land, especially with the return of all-state selection Destiny Pitts.

3. Flushing
Head coach: Larry Ford
2014-15 record: 23-1

The Raiders lost to Heritage in the Class A regional final, but expect a deeper run this year for Ford's squad. Returning all-state selection Clare Glowniak will lead the way.

4. Southfield-Lathrup (Lathrup Village)
Head coach: Michele Marshall
2014-15 record: 21-2

The Chargers put quite a scare into eventual state champion Marian in the regional semifinals last season, and Marshall has plenty to be excited about in 2015-16. Southfield-Lathrup will have three returning all-state players in Antoinette Miller, Taiye Bello and Deja Church.

5. DeWitt
Head coach: Bill McCullen
2014-15 record: 25-2

DeWitt came up just short of its goal, falling to Marian in the Class A final. McCullen loses all-state honorable mention players Abby Nakfoor and Claudie Reid, but will have plenty of players excited for a chance to get back to the title game.
