Hackleburg finds playoff glory versus Vina

The Hackleburg Panthers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Vina 51-20 at home on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for Hackleburg who now have four in a row.

Leading Hackleburg to victory were Saylor Cooper and Ellie Nichols. Cooper almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Nichols went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nichols has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Murray, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

Hackleburg's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Vina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Hackleburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vina also has no future games currently scheduled.
