Softball Recap: Crestwood Comes Up Short

Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 20-4 to the Darlington Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 two weeks ago.

Zaire Ransom made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Darlington, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestwood will square off against Camden at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Darlington, they will take on Marlboro County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
