Basketball Recap: Hamilton County Takes a Loss

Hamilton County lost against Fort White back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Indians. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hamilton County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jakori Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards, and Jaworski Williams, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 13 points. Williams has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Kyle Brown was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Hamilton County and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Fort White, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton County will welcome Lanier County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort White, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
