Basketball Game Preview: Humboldt Wildcats vs. Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets

The Humboldt Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Humboldt took on Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Saturday. Humboldt beat Garner-Hayfield/Ventura by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 54-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Estherville Lincoln Central). They claimed a resounding 83-17 win over Eagle Grove. The Midgets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Estherville Lincoln Central's third in a row) raised their record to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Humboldt, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
