Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Eagles vs. Holmes Aces

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Holmes Aces. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aces this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

Emma Mullins paced Northeastern's offense, picking up seven kills. Mullins got some help from Mia Jones and her six assists. Lily Mullins controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Holmes, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Northeastern will take on Perquimans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Holmes and Currituck County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
