Football Recap: Barton Takes a Loss

Barton managed to slip by Palestine-Wheatley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 49-13. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Palestine-Wheatley, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Barton will square off against Dumas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Palestine-Wheatley, they will face off against Fordyce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redbugs' defense has only allowed 3.6 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them.
