Baseball Game Preview: Sutter Huskies vs. Rio Linda Knights

The Sutter Huskies will head out to face off against the Rio Linda Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sutter has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Rio Linda will come in with seven straight victories.

Sutter's tournament run continued when they took on Elsinore on Thursday. The Huskies took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Sutter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landyn Singh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Rio Linda played against Natomas on Friday and won via forfeit.

Rio Linda pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sutter, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
