Recap: Lincoln Leopards vs. Rock Hills Grizzlies
The Lincoln Leopards had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Rock Hills with a 45-39 victory on Friday. That six points margin sets a new team best for Lincoln this season.
Rock Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper McDill, who scored 15 points. That was a full 38.5% of Rock Hills' points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cam Ward, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Rock Hills were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Rock Hills, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Lincoln will take on Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Hills, they will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence-Nelson on Monday. Lawrence-Nelson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
