Preview: Jasper vs. Silsbee
The Jasper Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silsbee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Jasper, who comes in off a win.
Jasper had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Corrigan-Camden onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Monday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for Jasper this season.
They hit Corrigan-Camden with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Tyler Mason,
Axel Villarreal,
Makai Waldrep, and
Guadalupe Barraza.
Meanwhile, Silsbee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell just short of Hardin-Jefferson by a score of 3-2.
Jasper's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Silsbee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
