High school basketball: Jordan Brand Classic rosters announced, headlined by five players from Montverde Academy

Hope Academy in Chicago hosts the 21st annual showcase game on April 15.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 21st annual boys Jordan Brand Classic is scheduled to be played April 15 in Chicago. On Wednesday, the 26-player roster was announced headlined by five players from national power Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.).

Other programs with multiple participants include Link Academy (Branson, Mo.) with three and North Little Rock (Ark.) and and Southern California Academy (Castaic, Calif.) with two.

Hope Academy will host the game, scheduled to top at 8 p.m. ET following the girls game at 6 p.m.

More notes of interest:



• All but one of the Jordan Brand Classic participants have either signed or committed to colleges, with Skyy Clark being the only undecided player in the game this season.

• Duke had the most selections with three, while Alabama, Arkansas, Oregon and UCLA each had two selections.

• Florida (8), California (4) and Missouri (3) were the states with the most selections, while Arkansas had two representatives.

• By position, 12 guards, eight wings/forwards and six centers were selected.

• 16 of the 26 participants in the events are 6-6 or taller, while four players are listed at 6-11 or taller.
