Helix is a perfect 10-0 against El Cajon Valley since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will be playing at home against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Helix has three straight wins, El Cajon Valley has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Helix made easy work of Valhalla and carried off a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ta'Tiannah Wright was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Naviah Conchas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Helix hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.

El Cajon Valley couldn't beat Mount Miguel on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Braves lost 17-7 to the Matadors.

El Cajon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Helix, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Helix took their victory against El Cajon Valley in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 21-0 score. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
