Softball Recap: Chino Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Chino Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Parker Broncs 11-1 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 two weeks ago.

Rebecca Sanders was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Natalie Graham also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Chino Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted an OBP of .375.

Chino Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Parker, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15-1.

Coincidentally, Chino Valley and Parker will both be playing Tonopah Valley the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Phoenix at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Broncs will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
