Volleyball Recap: Contra Costa Christian Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Contra Costa Christian not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the California School for the Deaf Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Eagles back in August, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-16.

Violet Fisina paced Contra Costa Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Fisina really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Eva Meals controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Contra Costa Christian's win ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for California School for the Deaf, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Looking ahead, Contra Costa Christian will host Fremont Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for California School for the Deaf, they are taking a road trip to take on California School for the Deaf-Riverside at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
