Softball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Loudoun County Captains.

Corrine Robinson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Giuliana Fillicetti, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Loudoun County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Gainesville will head out to take on Patriot at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loudoun County, they will be playing at home against Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
