Steele came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Johnson Jaguars 42-7. With the Knights ahead 42-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

DJ Green was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 270 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Jamin Harvell did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 116 receiving yards.

Steele's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Steele will be playing at home against Laredo LBJ at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
