Football Game Preview: West Morgan Rebels vs. East Lawrence Eagles + How To Watch

A classic East v. West matchup is on the schedule. The West Morgan Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Lawrence Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Morgan will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, West Morgan beat Hatton 23-14.

It was another big night for MacArri Johnson, who rushed for 181 yards and one TD, and also threw for 20 yards and one touchdown.

Johnson was just one part of a punishing run game: West Morgan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hatton only rushed for 163.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Lawrence). They managed a 28-24 victory over Columbia on Friday.

West Morgan's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for East Lawrence, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for West Morgan against East Lawrence when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 69-6 victory. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
