Softball Recap: Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Has No Trouble Against Manchester Regional

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Manchester Regional Falcons 16-0. Considering the Lions have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Troi Jackson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning two runs and three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Mehkalie Jones was incredible, going 2-for-3 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Lexi-Marie Feliciano was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Manchester Regional, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
