Baseball Recap: Kellis Comes Up Short

Kellis scored first but ultimately less than Ironwood in their game on Tuesday. They lost 15-2 to the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jose Ortiz Felix made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Kellis and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Ironwood, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Kellis has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Williams Field on the 28th. As for Ironwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Cactus on the 26th.
