There's no place like home for Archbishop Hoban, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Black River Pirates on Monday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The Knights not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5th (when they won 8-0).

Archbishop Hoban's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Black River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Hoban will take on Garfield in a tournament on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Black River, they will challenge Midview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Middies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.77 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
