Highland Home had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Central Lions with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Flying Squadron have won by exactly ten runs.

Highland Home pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Highland Home will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Elba at 4:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Lions take on Calhoun Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give they their first taste of in-conference action this season.
