Tug Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They breezed past the Chapmanville Regional Tigers to the tune of 62-32. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 54-35 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Tug Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailee Hall led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Katelynn Richardson, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tug Valley will square off against Mingo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
