Baseball Recap: Kaufman Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Kaufman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Terrell Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Kaufman's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Deville, who went 4-for-5 with one double. Those four hits gave Deville a new career-high. Jack Crutcher was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Kaufman's victory bumped their record up to 10-15-1. As for Terrell, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.
