Basketball Recap: Falmouth Takes a Loss

Falmouth played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Westbrook Blue Blazes and fell 59-8. The Navigators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-3.

Kylie Young was the offensive standout of the match as she posted ten points along with eight boards and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Paolla Uwaze, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Falmouth and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Westbrook, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Falmouth will welcome Marshwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marshwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Falmouth surely won't give up without a fight. Westbrook will take on Biddeford in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westbrook has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
