Baseball Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

West Valley lost to Temescal Canyon back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caleb Trujillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Israel Michel, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Temescal Canyon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11.

West Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Temescal Canyon, they will head out to face off against Pacifica Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tritons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
