Basketball Recap: Cedar Mountain Comes Up Short

Cedar Mountain was the 73-40 winner over Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cedar Mountain Cougars fell 60-51 to the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs on Friday.

Cedar Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cedar Mountain Cougars face off against the Springfield Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they will head out to take on Sleepy Eye at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Sleepy Eye likes a good challenge.
