Hendersonville had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-15 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Patton Panthers with a sharp 7-1 win. The Bearcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 14-6).
Ethan Milner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Wesley Mayo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Xavier Garcia was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
As for Patton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Patton's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laine Barrier, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Another was Wyatt Hullette, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
