Basketball Recap: Cardington-Lincoln Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elgin last Saturday, Cardington-Lincoln came back down to earth. The Cardington-Lincoln Pirates took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fredericktown Freddies on Wednesday. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Freddies from their previous meeting back in January.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cardington-Lincoln fell to 2-1. As for Fredericktown, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Cardington-Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Loudonville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cardington-Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Loudonville likes a good challenge. As for Fredericktown, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against East Knox at 7:00 p.m. Fredericktown is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
