Volleyball Recap: Little Chute Comes Up Short

Little Chute kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Xavier Hawks. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Hawks when the teams met back in October of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Zuza Mosienska paced Little Chute's offense, picking up four kills. Mosienska got some help from Leah Vanden Hogen and her six assists.

Xavier was led to victory by Sydney Neilitz and Grace Hackl. Neilitz had five aces and three digs, while Hackl had four digs and two aces. Neilitz is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Little Chute and Xavier will both be playing Chilton the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
