Football Recap: Fleming Island Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fleming Island fell victim to Oakleaf and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 31-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Cornell Moses, Jr. was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 61 yards and one score on only six carries.

Fleming Island's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Oakleaf, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fleming Island will host Orange Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Golden Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Oakleaf, they will be playing at home against Hawthorne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
