Baseball Recap: Lake-Lehman Comes Up Short

While it was Lake-Lehman who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was MMI Preparatory School who put up more. The Knights fell just short of MMI Preparatory School by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Sam Finarelli made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Will Jenkins also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Lake-Lehman now has a losing record of 3-4. As for MMI Preparatory School, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coming up, Lake-Lehman will be playing at home against Wyoming Area at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for MMI Preparatory School, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
