Baseball Game Preview: South Garner Titans vs. Knightdale Knights

The South Garner Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Knightdale Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses dating back to last season for South Garner and nine for Knightdale.

South Garner came up short against Fuquay - Varina on Tuesday, falling 12-1.

South Garner saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tylin Devane, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Knightdale scored first but ultimately less than Millbrook in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3.

Bryson Irvin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

South Garner's record now sits at 0-13. As for Knightdale, their record is now 4-13.

Everything went South Garner's way against Knightdale when the teams last played back in March of 2020, as South Garner made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
