League recap: Porter throws longest pass in league this season for University Academy Charter

Monta Porter and Bryon Winfrey provided fans with a highlight when they connected against North Platte. The connection was good for 93 yards, the longest such play in Freelance this season.

Principia moved up to 227 from 282 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Kennedy 42-8.

University Academy Charter's dynamic duo of Porter and Kahalil Sears proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Porter threw for 325 yards and 4 touchdowns and Sears had 172 yards receiving. Winfrey helped University Academy Charter's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 137 yards.

The Gryphons' dynamic duo of Porter and Sears proved tough for North Platte to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Garner Rudroff was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 83 yards on 4 carries as South Callaway bested the Panthers. Cory Collins also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.

Porter put up the best numbers through the air as Dan Stanley's team defeated North Platte.

Sears was the best receiver in Freelance this week as the Gryphons beat the Panthers.

University Academy Charter's Porter and Sears have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Porter has thrown for 356 yards this season, while Sears has 6 catches for 172 yards. The Bulldogs' Troy Hentges leads the league in rushing yards with 126.

El Dorado Springs was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 20th to 12th in the league. The Bulldogs vanquished Knob Noster 25-13 earlier in the week.
