Baseball Recap: Binghamton Comes Up Short

Binghamton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Maine-Endwell, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Patriots fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 on Monday.

Binghamton is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only seven runs. As for Maine-Endwell, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

While Binghamton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
