Softball Game Preview: Lordstown Red Devils vs. Liberty Leopards

The Lordstown Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Liberty Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lordstown's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six matchups, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lordstown lost 12-1 to Bristol on Monday.

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Brookfield on Monday, falling 15-4. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Liberty saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Hernandez has hit this season. Another was Abby Harris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Lordstown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
