Basketball Game Preview: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. O'Connor Eagles

Boulder Creek is 0-10 against O'Connor since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Boulder Creek Jaguars will be playing at home against the O'Connor Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Boulder Creek is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Liberty 67-27. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Lions are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Connor). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mountain Ridge 103-18. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.

O'Connor has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Boulder Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Boulder Creek was taken down by O'Connor 76-28 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of O'Connor's Audrey Bhesania, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists.
